Write a 2-3 page reflection paper in which you respond to the following discussion prompt:

What does Titu Cusi Yupanqui’s Inca Account of the Conquest of Peru reveal about the changes taking place in the Americas as a result of the Spanish conquest and colonization efforts? How does this text shape our understanding of how native rulers responded to or participated in these changes?

In order to answer this question, you’ll need to watch my introductory video so that you can understand the historical background that will help you make sense of this complex text. As you write, you will want to think carefully about WHO the author of this account is, WHY he is writing (what does he hope to achieve), HOW he tells the story of the Spanish conquest, and WHY he tells the story in the way that he does.
