The Research Paper:
Must be seven to nine double-spaced pages in length, (excluding the cover and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing

Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.
Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
Must use at least five scholarly resources, including a minimum of two from the Ashford Online Library.
Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Within the lecture notes you are provided two different social institutions, Education and Religion. You will have two options for this assignment.

1. Religion: I would like you to choose a religious belief system that differs from your own and research such things as: Country of origin, leaders, similarity in beliefs, differences in beliefs (from your own beliefs), practices, rituals, traditions, etc.

2. Education: Provide a argument based essay in regards to public vs. private vs. home schooling. Does the nature of the process change the “functions” of education? Based on the text and lecture notes, does the substance of education change based on how it is executed?
