Should College compuses go green?

Write a proposal in two to three pages, about 1000 words, for your research-based argument paper due at the end of the semester.
For your research paper, you will need to choose a controversial topic in contested areas, (such as, Reproductive Rights,” “Immigration,” “Going Green,” etc.) and make a sustained argument for a position or course of action.
In your proposal, state your topic and explain the problem you will try to address in your final paper. You should try to answer such questions surrounding the topic as:

• What’s the significance of the issue to the society?
• Why are you personally interested in the topic?
• What are you trying to persuade/convince your readers for?
• What have been your strategies to know more about the topic?
• What steps did you take to find the articles relevant to your topic?
• What have the scholars you read thus far said about this issue?
• What’s new that you are going to add to the existing scholarship you discovered?
• Are their divergent views expressed by different scholars?
• What side of the debate do you find yourself?
• What are the problems that you find in the writings/arguments of the scholars you don’t agree with?
Summarize at least three articles that you have already read relating to your topic. Include a works cited page.
