Through the semester you have been collecting signs and symbols related to ancient secret societies. Your portfolio must show at least 8 of these symbols. Your essay must:

1 Analyze the origin of the symbol and what group is related to.

2 Discuss what is the meaning in contemporary society

3 Compare and contrast the original meaning with the new.
Your paper must include three annotated scholarly
references.
4. Discuss what social and or cultural changes influenced people to add or reassign new meanings or applications to these symbols. Explain.
Remember, each symbol can be from different cultural or philosophical origins but you must be able to find its use in the past and how it is used in our contemporary society and why. You must include pictures, illustrations, and videos as part of your research.
