Ethics as Lived Practices in Community): For this paper, you are to observe rituals and collect communication artifacts of a particular cultural group to examine how ethics are passed on through habits, lifestyle, and stories. You are to select and describe the role of story in forming a community’s ethics based on class lecture and readings (e.g., lecture regarding Hauerwas and Fisher or Neher & Sandin Chs. 7 – 10). Then you will provide background about the group and analyze its communication. Based on the readings you choose, you are to analyze how the group’s ethics are constituted by and passed on through its stories. You are to write approximately 5 page papers and present your paper in class (paper and presentation 100 pts.).
