Each student will be assigned a Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) code. These identify sub-fields of economic research and can be found at https://www.aeaweb.org/econlit/jelCodes.php?view=jel 2. Choose three early (pre 2000) and related papers using your assigned JEL code 3. Write a short literature review based on the three papers and using the relevant chapter from Greenlaw for guidance 4. Identify the economic theory being used and hypothesis being tested in each paper 5. Briefly summarize the findings of each paper Style and formatting 1. Papers should be approximately 1000 – 1200 words in length and written in proper essay format (i.e. no bullets, sub-titles, etc.) 2.
