“According to this article, McDonald’s plans to replace toys in Happy Meals with a fitness tracker, which will track the steps of the user. By doing so, McDonald’s believes that it can make up for the fact that a child is eating a happy meal. In my opinion, a fitness tracker will not make up for the fact that a child is consuming an unhealthy meal. Whether or not the child participates in physical activity he or she is still consuming calories that do not contain healthy nutrients. What are your thoughts about this new idea?
