Please Note: Only do the book review on the first 44 pages of the book: Triangle: The fire that changed America by author David Von Drehle. Please Do Not re-tell the story. The ideas below will help you choose a specific topic focus for your analysis.Plagiarism will not be acceptable.

Theme:

you can write about the main idea, or theme, presented in your selection

*Does the author seem to be saying something about ambition or courage or greed or jealousy or happiness?

*Does the selection show you what it is like to experience racism, loneliness, etc?

*Does the author say something about a specific historical event?

OR

Plot:

Certain aspects of the action or story line may also led to analysis.

*What external conflicts affect the main character?(Consider conflicts with other characters, the setting, objects,etc.)

*What internal conflicts make life difficult for the main character? (Consider the thoughts, feelings, and ideas that effect him or her.)

*How is suspense built into the story? (Consider the important events leading up to the climax.)

*Are there any twists or reversals in the plot? (What do they add to the story?)
