Think of yourself as the research analyst in a company that’s related to your career goals. Your job is to provide your boss (me) with some significant information that could have an effect on long-range internal or external planning for your company in terms of business trends in your job sector. Your information will show that you understand how business has the potential to integrate with internal or external business decisions, other businesses or other aspects within your industry. You must 1) clearly tell your boss why you are writing which will be located in the introduction; 2) provide some industry background information on the current state of your industry; what significant events occurred to help define your industry? 3) integrate the meaning of œtrickle-down effect in your opening paragraph in this section; list some trickle-down effects inside or outside your industry and then, explicitly state which trickle-down effect you’ll be exploring; 4) explore the specified trickle-down effect and 5) make a final evaluative analysis that you’ve discussed in the œMain Discussion by quickly restating the important potential affects so you can follow up with some recommendations. Then provide the boss with an action statement”what you want to happen next. Your conclusion will also signal a closing to your analysis that specifically brings me back into the picture. I will provide you with a format handout that explains how these five sections fit into the organization of this memo assignment.
