Assignment Instructions

The following is the assignment, I don’t care which book is chosen to be written about.

As discussed in class and on the bulletin board, you are to complete a writing assignment based on a list of recommended books, which includes:

1) The Signal and the Noise, by Nate Silver

2) Victory Lab, by Sasha Issenberg

3) The Drunkard’s Walk, by Leonard Mlodinow

4) Struck by Lightning, by Jeffrey S. Rosenthal

Discuss the main arguments of the book from your own critical perspective (otherwise it would end up looking more like an 8th wrong with that, but it is a different object).

The objective of the assignment is to facilitate your becoming familiar with analytical argumentation using quantitative methods, and how that relates to policy-relevant fields.
