Students will be expected to do a primary source research paper of
about 10 pages on the slave trade in Dahomey and Ouidah. The paper
should focus on the experiences and activities of residents of Dahomey and Ouidah
between 1500-1900, and demonstrate historical method, with an original thesis,
knowledgeable discussion, and good documentation in secondary and primary sources.
