Students will locate one article on any aspect of family violence that has been published in a popular magazine, newspaper, or internet site.

Students will discuss their chosen articles in a 5 page (double-spaced, maximum 12-point font, 1-inch margins, and correct APA (6th edition) citation format) critical review using the following questions as a guide:

1. What is the implicit or explicit definition of family violence within this popular media selection?
2. Does the article refer to the prevalence or incidence of family violence?
3. Does the article provide an implicit or explicit explanation for the family violence incident(s) reported?
