How do you find the quotient of 15 divided by 5/6?

##18##

Quotient is the answer after you divide one number (dividend) by another (divisor).

In this question ##15## is the dividend.

Whereas, ##5/6## is the divisor.

Calculation:

##=15-:5/6##

Note that that the sign ##(-:)## could be change to ##(xx)## to make calculation easier, but in order to do that, ##5/6## must be inverted to ##6/5##.

That will make the calculation looks like;

##=15xx6/5##

We can simplify ##15## and ##5## to give us the final answer;

##=cancel(15)3xx6/(cancel(5)1)##

##=3xx6##

##=18##
