Please follow the instructions below:

1.      Paper:  You will be required to write a 3 page paper (double-spaced) on a work experience that you have had.  You will need to think of an issue in a current or past job you have held that is relevant to a topic covered in this class.

Follow these instructions for the paper:

1. You will begin your paper with a short description of the job you have/had including the type of organization you work(ed) for and the job duties you are/were responsible for.

2. Next, you will describe your experience or issue from the job.

3. Finally you must choose a topic of I/O Psychology to relate your experience to and cite theory accordingly.

As an example, you can describe a work conflict or a teamwork experience or perhaps your attitude at work and what may have impacted it, etc. It can be positive or negative experiences but, you must relate it to the theory(s) discussed in class. . In addition, you must conclude with what should be implemented or changed in the workplace to fix the issue and use theory to justify it. If it was a positive experience conclude what was good overall that created that positive experience and include the theory that supports it.

-Papers will be graded on your ability to relate the story to the material covered in class or in the book. You must show evidence that you understand the theory you are referring to and it’s connection to the example you are giving. Grammar and composition will be factored into your grade

Note: Please adhere to the rubric in the attachment (rubric). Also, use the powerpoint slides to relate an industrial psychology theory in (question 3).
