Cultural Artifact Project Instructions:

Brainstorm Topics. The topic of your project will be a cultural artifact, an object or symbol meaningful to a culture you are a member of. For the discussion post, list 5 potential artifacts for your project. I will give you feedback and approve your one topic for this project. Every student will have a different topic for this project.
Research your Artifact. You must compile a research packet tat consists of three news briefs on three different publications. Use the News Brief template provided in the instructions. You should search for publications in the SCC Library databases. You can also use websites, books, youtube videos or interviews for your sources.
Write your paper following the outline format provided in the instructions. Write your paper using an essay format with paragraphs. You must include 3 in-text citations and direct quotations in your paper.
Create a Works Cited Page. Use MLA format to create a Works Cited page. For a MLA reference, you can access Purdue Owl Website.  (Links to an external site.)
Include a Visual Aid. The last page of your project is a picture of your artifact. You should have a minimum of one
