For this week’s abstract quick review, you will be reviewing a quasi-experimental study and will be expected to identify and describe the techniques researchers used to create their study sample, collect data form study participants, and which outcomes were measured. Download and review the Week 5 Abstract Quick Review template and article below. Use this week’s template for this week’s assignment only. Review the resources (readings and videos) on sampling, data collection, and outcome measurement carefully as well as the recordings for each of these topics. Below are a few helpful tips to help you complete this assignment:
    Strongly suggest that you review all of this week’s resources before submitting the Abstract Quick Review. It’s best to familiarize yourself with the concepts first so that you are able to understand the article.

    Use the full article for this week’s abstract to supplement your understanding of the abstract. Read the abstract first to determine your level of understanding of the various elements of the study, and refer to full article when necessary to answer the questions in the template. Keep in mind, as future health care professionals, you might not always have the time to read the full article in your busy professional practice, but for the purposes of this course, use this time to practice reading and becoming familiar with the full research article.

    Use your own words to answer the questions in the template. Do not copy and paste sentences from the abstract or article without an explanation in your own words (TIP: Suppose you have a co-worker or director who asks you questions about this article related to the sampling or the results. How would you explain that to them?? These exercises are a nice way for you to practice developing those skills!)
