poetry

Death is presented differently in the poems The Raven, I heard a Fly buzz – when I died, “The Indian Burying Ground,” Lady Lazarus, and in the creative nonfiction writings 11:20 and A Death in Texas. Compare how death is portrayed in one poem and one creative nonfiction selection mentioned above. Explain how each author uses at least one literary/poetic element to reveal differing perceptions of death and dying and create a theme (main idea) about the topic of death. In addition to your two primary sources, you must incorporate at least one secondary source into your essay to meet the minimum requirements of the assignment.
