Choose two artists from different movements within any “ism” or style period. Write a minimum five-page essay that compares and contrasts these artists and their work within an art historical context. What were the influences of the time that shaped the work of each artist? Compare and contrast the artworks in form, content, and context. 

– The form of the work are the visual aspects.  Your formal analysis should contain at least three specific Elements of Art (Chapter 4) and one Principle of Design (Chapter5).
– Content is the subject matter or what the artwork is about.  How is the content of the work related to its form?
CONTEXT (33 points) Impressionism, Cubism, Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism, Popism, etc…) of which each painting belongs and why.

Andy Warhol’s Gold Marilyn Monroe (page 503) compared to Willam de Kooning’s Woman IV (page 499)
