Questions1) Interpret the continuity between these two quotes:

Oedipus: “My children/ I pity you. I see–how could I fail to see/ what longings bring you here? Well I know/ you are sick to death, all of you,/ but sick as you are, not one is sick as I” (162).

Creon: “Apollo commands us–he was quite clear–‘Drive the corruption from the land,/ don’t harbor it any longer, past all cure,/ don’t nurse it in your soil–root it out!'” (164).

2) Choose a passage that stood out to you, and analyze its meaning in the context of the drama.
