Most will be familiar with the text from John above. The need to establish a model of consulting on a bedrock of values has been emphasized throughout. Writing about values or ethics is fine, however, what can we do to ensure that themes and principles raised in these discussions find practical expression? How important are ethical frameworks to the strategic consulting agenda. What is the role of principles in driving consulting success? Can we point to a distinctive faith-based, even Christian, approach to consulting? What are some of key issues to bear in mind when designing an ethical framework or establishing a values-based business (consultancy)? How possible is it to succeed in strategic consulting without a strong values orientation? What difference do values really make?
