By midnight on January 13, submit a 500 to 750 word essay addressing the following:

a brief biography of your subject
a description of his or her career
an ethical issue involving your subject (think of situations in which the person’s decisions or actions had an effect on others).
how that decision or action might be evaluated in terms of utilitarianism
The decision or action might be one event or an ongoing situation. 

Your paper should be double-spaced, 12 point font, 1 inch margins.  You should submit it as an uploaded Word or PDF document. Submit it under the assignment page for January 13.

Do research, but don’t plagiarize!  ALL sources you use must be cited (using whatever format you know best).  Don’t copy and paste.  Don’t just copy or paraphrase Wikipedia.  Let me know if you have any questions.
